Ukiyo-e: The Floating World

Ukiyo-e: The Floating World is a historical research project based on the Japanese printmaking genre known as Ukiyo-e. Throughout it’s design and final presentation my aim was to reflect on the handmade craftsmanship that had been practiced throughout this art form for centuries. Resulting in a Coptic bound publication that was printed on high quality uncoated paper.
